The upper is stretched over a wide last, and you will appreciate the superb comfort on long runs in the mountains, especially in the transverse arch area. The breathable and seamless upper is covered with Kevlar mesh around the entire circumference to increase the durability of the upper. The Kevlar used is commonly used in the manufacture of bulletproof vests and is very strong, lightweight, and non-absorbent. The edges of the Kevlar mesh may fray slightly during use, which is due to the strength of this material. The firmer heel cup design provides a firm and secure fit for the heel, and there are eyelets on the outside of the heel for attaching gaiters.
